The San Rafael location of Taste of Rome opened on March 30th of this year to an overwhelming number of new patrons, and much excitement in the 4th street area since most people in Marin are familiar with the Sausalito Taste of Rome formerly known as cafe trieste and it's great reputation.  

Like the Sausalito location this new cafe sports an extensive menu ranging from traditional Italian specials created using only the finest of local ingredients, to new innovative creations only found in both cafe's.

Business partners Dammith Rupersingham and Paul Almeida, carefully review the popularity of all their dishes and are in a constant search for other potential new additions. Every dish is made on location to insure freshness and quality. Caffe Trieste makes everything on site including pastries and pizza. Only the best fresh ground coffee's are used in making everything from coffee Americano, to Cappuccino and Espresso.

The menu will also include a mouth watering selection of authentic Italian sandwiches, soups, salads, pasta dishes, gelatos and, of course, a range of coffee drinks and one of the largest selection of teas in the Bay Area.
